The Personalities Behind Payoff — Meet Jillian L. From Our Payments Team

I have been at Payoff since …
July 2015.

The best thing about my job is …
The people! Even the rough days are fun with these guys.

When I’m not working, I am …
Singing Christmas carols at local theme parks. Even in June (just kidding).

My friends describe me as …
Honest, caring and goofy.

When it comes to dogs or cats, I prefer …
Please don’t make me pick. I love them both for different reasons.

My favorite TV show is …
Changing constantly. Right now, it’s My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. It’s a musical.

My favorite movie is …
Singin’ in the Rain.

My favorite book is …
I re-read the Harry Potter series just about every year and discover something new each time.

My favorite food is …
Chips and salsa.

My favorite vacation was to …
Can I say an upcoming one? (Editor’s Note: Yes.) I’m going to England and Scotland in September to see the new Harry Potter play, and I’m SO EXCITED.

If you were a professional wrestler, what would your gimmick be?
My super long limbs.

What do you do in your car when you’re stuck in horrible LA traffic?
Sing, listen to a podcast or call my mom.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
Middle Earth. Post Frodo and the ring, though. I’d like to be in a war-free Middle Earth.

A website I check all the time is …
The Wirecutter. Whenever I want new tech gadgets, I always check it first.

The song I never get tired of hearing is …
I still love “Shut Up and Dance” by Walk the Moon. Maybe I’ll get sick of it eventually, but it hasn’t happened yet!

When I was a kid, my dream job was …
A teacher. Very practical.

If I had a superpower, it would be …
Flying would be fun, but seems like it would take forever, so maybe Apparating. Or teleportation. Whatever you want to call it.

iPhone or Android?
iPhone. Once you go Mac, you never go back.

I love them! I have a massive collection from each city I visited when I worked on a cruise ship.

What would you write in a message-in-a-bottle?
Where has all the rum gone?

What’s the appeal of a road less traveled?
Maybe there’s treasure!

If you could change your middle name, what would you change it to?
Danger. Obviously.

What was the best date you’ve ever been on?
My boyfriend took me on a hot air balloon ride last Christmas! It was on my bucket list and absolutely wonderful.

If you could have dinner with any three people in history, what would you eat?
Pizza, because maybe I would get to introduce them to the majesty of a pizza pie.

If I could paradox-free time travel to any day in history, I would …
Go 100 years into the future and check on my grandkids.

What matters most to me is …
My integrity.

What I don’t care about at all is …
The lwoB repuS.

On a Saturday/Sunday, I love to …
Go out to breakfast and get horchata coffee!

I really admire …
People who truly care.

Money is …

Money is not …

My money personality is …
The Adventurer.

Last week’s Payoff Personality, DeCarlis W., asked you:
Why aren’t your peanut butter sandwiches always toasted?

I’m on board with DeCarlis. I think all sandwiches should be toasted.

And you get to ask next week’s Payoff Personality a question. What’s your question and how would you answer it?
What’s your favorite Harry Potter book?

I love them all, but I have to say Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I think it seamlessly transitions from fun youth fiction to a more serious coming-of-age story. Humor, romance, tragedy and action all in one massive novel!
